Average daily OP attendance is about 600 - 800 and in peak season it hike up to
800 - 900 per day. OP is managed by General Duty doctors. All cases including MLC/RTA
are attended. Cases not able to be managed here will be referred to Taluk Hospital,
Nedumangad, General Hospital, Thiruvanathapuram or Medical College,
Thiruvananthapuram for expert management. Injection are given with disposable needles
and syringes. Hub cutter available for it.

- 8 Beds available for emergency case.
Even though the sanctioned bed strength is 12, there are 30 more additional beds
available here for the use of the patients. Medicines supplied from the Kerala Medical

8. PHARMACY
Two Pharmacist available. Medicines are Supplied from KMSC. Emergency medicines
are purchased locally in case of shortage.

9. OPHTHALMIC ASSISTANT
Vision tested screened for cataract and other ailments. Primary care is given and
other cases are referred to RIO, Thiruvananthapuram.

10. LABORATORY
Two lab technicians are engaged in examination of Blood Smear both active and
passive colllected from all mini PHCS and CHC. Also sputum AFB, Blood RE, Urine RE
are done here.

Well equipped NCD lab with all modern facilities like semi auto analyser Biochemistry

11. LABOUR ROOM & THEATRE
Service of 3 NRHM Gynecologists are available. Normal delivery is attended. PPS,
minilap, MTP, D& C, Other minor surgical procedures are done here. Boyle’s apparatus is
available and so the service of on call Anesthetist is available and Caesarean section is
done.

12. FW PROGRAMMES
Laproscopic sterilization camps for us is on 3rd Friday every month at G.H. Perrorkada. Also cases are being a done at Taluk Hospital, Nedumangad. NSV Cases are referred to family Planning Clinic, SATH and being done.
IUD insertion done by Doctors, LHS or LHI.
Supply of Condoms, Oral Pills etc to target couples.
Antenatal clinic by gynecologists, LHS, LHI, JPHN on every Friday from 10 am to 1 pm. All investigations are done and supplementary treatment is given education given to pregnant ladies.
Immunization clinic for children on every Wednesday from 9 am to 1 pm. Vaccination with GPV, BCG, DPT, TT, Measles. Hepatities B. MMR vaccine are done under UIP,MMR vaccine and Hib Vaccine are given if purchased by the party.
13. COLD CHAIN SYSTEM
A fully equipped cold chain system with ILR Deep freezer, Cold box, Vaccine carrier
etc in maintained.
